In approximately 60 seconds or so, said Ballard, the seemingly regular man who stood before him morphed into something else: namely, what Ballard described as the Master. Practically in a state of near-religious ecstasy, Ballard stared in awe at the man who, Ballard offered, had a deity-like appearance. Dressed in a flowing outfit covered in jewels, the Count’s eyes were now shining brightly. In moments, the encounter was over. St. Germain was not gone for long, however. Just a couple of days later, there was a second meeting of minds.

The late UFO contactee George Hunt Williamson inherited a great deal of Ballard’s personal correspondence, much of which made its way to him from contacts in the I AM cult and that, to an edited degree, made its way into the pages of Unveiled Mysteries. One such letter, of March 1931 to a man named Stanley Carter, reveals what Ballard claimed happened just two days after the initial encounter with the Count, yet again on the slopes of Mount Shasta.
